I was raised in natural light--

TRAVELS & NATURAL LIGHT:

I have taken two weeks of leave to travel back to the states for shoots, as well as to visit my wonderful friends & family. I traveled to LA and I am now in Montana for another couple of days before heading on to Minneapolis and then back home to my loving husband, cat & adorably neurotic dog.

I like traveling own my own sometimes—although I do have a fear of flying and hate these rising fuel costs. Something about that time alone in airports wondering—the anonymity (not that many people know who I am—but not having a single person in my presence who knows me) has a bizarre comfort. I love to watch humans interact, or how people behave when they do not think anyone is watching. As well as, the realization that I, in turn, am also more than likely being observed. It is sort of this giant experiment in social interactions & expectations.

When I arrived in LA I was greeted by the smiling faces of Michael ([link]) & Shye ([link]), two fantastically fun and naughty individuals. I don’t know if the laughter stopped the entire 3 days I was there, other than when we were sleeping (and, honestly, it might have continued then too—I just don’t know, because, well, I was sleeping.) I also had the pleasure of seeing Perry([link]) again, as well as the beautiful Anyesa([link]) —who is honestly that beautiful in person. Miss Pixie ([link]) also joined us for some shooting—which is always fantastic. Her friend, Matthew ([link]) also came. He is just starting to learn photography, but he is crazy-talented with a violet wand—which I had the interesting experience of feeling for the first time on this trip as well. Several images from the shoots of my time in LA can be seen in my gallery (with more to come) as well as Michael’s & Shye’s galleries.

I love visiting LA for many reasons; primarily, they people are amazing. When I first headed out there last November, I was so nervous, because I am not the voluptuous size 2 blonde, and I was afraid that I would be a disappointment or something. But these people are so sweet and genuine, I felt like I had been friends with them for years. I was so excited when I was able to come back and visit again.

The other thing I love in LA is the sun. I feel like I go weeks and weeks in England without seeing it. I know that in reality, that can’t be true, but that is honestly how it feels.

When I was in the 6th grade, we read this sort of science fiction story aloud in class one day. Since this was over ten years ago the details are bound to be a little vague. Basically, it was about how humans had started to immigrate to some other planet (I want to say Venus, but I could be completely wrong). Apparently, on this planet the sun only came out one hour every seven years? Or perhaps several hours every seven years? Something along those lines. This girls’ family had recently moved from earth and she was telling her classmates about the sun—they didn’t believe her because they were either natural Venus-people or Other-Planet-that-She-is-Now-Living-on-People or simply humans that were already born there. Therefore, all these fellow student thought she was crazy and strange and they didn’t like her. Anyway, sometime soon is going to be the Sun-Appearing-for-One-Hour-Time, and the girl gets all excited and she tells everyone about the wonderful thing that is going to happen. The other kids are mean, like children tend to be at times, and they lock the girl in the closet. A short time after this the sun comes out—and all of the children are in complete awe and wonder at this amazing light ball, its warmth, brightness & all-around sun-goodness. They are so fascinated that they completely forget to let the poor girl out of the closet until it is all over and the sun is no longer visible. So this poor girl—that all she wanted was to see the sun misses it because she had been trapped in a closet.

I hadn’t thought of that story for years—it came back into my head once I started living in England. It really feels like that most of the time. It gets hard some days.

I don’t know—maybe this ended up to be a little bit of a downer. I just figured I needed a new journal entry.

No woorries--at least you know a second language. I only know a very very small bit of Spanish. I am not on my artist gallery much as it is not nearly as popular as my modeling one. But creating my own art will always be my first passion.

Well, I am professional in my approach--as in, while I have a lot of fun modeling, I do take it seriously. However, I am certainly not a professional-- I have only been modeling for 7 or 8 months now, and I more work for to create amazing images, and not so much for money. But I very much appreacite your support, and I hope you continue to enjoy my gallery.

Thank you so much. I really appreacite that. I think it is important to be a real human too--I guess, I figure it is too easy to just be seen as a random naked girl--unless one allows her personality to show through. Does that make sense? I probably could have phrased that better. Sorry.
